Mechanical Requirements

File types: Macintosh compatible, CD-ROMS, internet submission FTP or online-storage (Email: 2 MB limit). EPS, PSD, TIF and JPG are recommended. EPS is vector format that produces better results for text than raster formats such as PSD, TIF or JPG. No film accepted.

Applications: Illustrator CS2, Photoshop CS2, InDesign CS2 (Please ask us before submitting.)

CMYK mode: The color mode of submitted files must be CMYK. (NO RGB and Pantone)

Resolution: For an image to print properly, the image must be 350 dpi at the final print size. DO NOT try to change from a low resolution to a higher one by increasing the DPI in your imaging program.

Outlined Fonts: You must convert your fonts into outlined fonts.

Bleeds: Any time an image or color us printed to the edge of a page, it must extend at least 1/8" beyond the final dimensions of your job to allow for cutting variation.

Safety Zone: Text or image you wish to preserve must be inside the safety zone which is 1/8" inside the final dimension of your design.

Minimum Line Thickness: If you are using a line border, be sure to be make the line at least 0.25 pt. thick to assure the line prints correctly.
